Evening of Holiday Enchantment and Boar’s Head Concert Scheduled for Dec. 6
Mark your calendars now and reserve your tickets today for the annual Evening of Holiday Enchantment alumni gathering and Boar’s Head concert at Oglethorpe on Dec. 6.
Because of a quirk of the calendar with later-than-usual Thanksgiving and an earlier-than-usual start to final exams, the student Boar’s Head party, which will celebrate with the theme “Masquerade,” has been separated from the night of the alumni event and concert.
If you see social media posts from Oglethorpe student accounts or even the main university account for a Boar’s Head party on Nov. 22, don’t be alarmed. That’s the student party. The alumni event and choral concert remains the first Friday in December as usual.
A post card that was sent to alumni back in August highlighting fall event dates incorrectly reported the Evening of Holiday Enchantment. A printed invitation mailed to alumni includes the correct date – Dec. 6 – and the alumni social media accounts have been announcing the correct date for months. Be sure to follow Oglethorpe Alumni accounts on Instagram and Facebook to stay up to date with alumni events year-round.
Another change in the event this year: the Evening of Holiday Enchantment will be family friendly with a room for children’s crafts and hot chocolate. We look forward to hosting you and your families on campus for this wonderful Oglethorpe holiday tradition.
Host committee members are eager to see their classmates and all OU alumni. This year’s host committee includes Savannah LeGate ’22, Christina Vinluan Heda ’04 and family, Barbara ‘85 and Don Henry ’83, Dylan ‘19 and Brad Harper-Firchow ’19, and Christina ‘98 and James Rissler ‘98 and family.
