Get involved, stay connected and expand your alumni network by joining an affinity group! Through these groups, you’ll be linked with fellow Petrels who share common interests and serve as an ambassador for various programs and activities to meet the needs of Oglethorpe alumni.

OBAN works to foster community for alumni that identify as black, create connections and mentorship opportunities between students and alumni and invest in current and future petrels through gifts of time, talents and treasure.

The Oglethorpe Black Alumni Network (OBAN), has established the OBAN Endowment Fund, which will support promoting black students and alumni at Oglethorpe in social and career development through networking, mentorship and programming. All alumni are invited to contribute to this fund. Thank you for your support.

A liberal arts education is all about linking the knowledge you gain in the classroom with real-world experience and career-preparation. Whether you chose to indulge in these experiences as an international student, you studied abroad during your time as a student, or you live internationally now, doors have remained open for you to make meaningful connections with communities all over the world.

An evolution of the student organization, OUtlet for LGBTQIA+ students, OUtlet Alumni is devoted to equity, acceptance, and the creation of a safe space for all members of the LGBTQIA+ community. This advocacy group collaborates with Oglethorpe’s Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion to educate the OU community and enhance the multifaceted understanding behind identity and sexuality.
To support the mission of this group, you may contact one or more of the following leaders:
SPBA is dedicated to assisting Oglethorpe students as they prepare for careers in the legal field. Members will also provide sponsorship to the Charles Weltner Award (given annually to an outstanding Oglethorpe student). This group hosts several networking events and works closely with the Career Development team to foster mutually benefitting connections.
