Alumni Tee Off with President McClymond at Top Golf

Oglethorpe Night at Top Golf was a huge success, bringing together the Oglethorpe community in a new, fun, and engaging way. Alumni from class years 1973 to 2023 spent the evening hearing the latest university news and updates from President McClymond, engaging in friendly competition at reserved bays, and spending time catching up with one another.

“It’s always great to see the many generations of Petrels come together,” said director of alumni engagement and giving Kathryn Henderson ’17. “I hope this event reminded everyone of the strong bond that unites the Oglethorpe community, no matter where life may take them.”

The classes of 2022 and 2023 were well represented during this event. Kaitlin Ballard ’22 has remained connected to the university in various ways, including coming back to campus for theatre productions.

“I heard about the Top Golf event from another alumna, and I was most excited to get to meet other alumni and President McClymond,” said Ballard ’22. “These alumni events are a great way to stay involved and network.”

During her remarks, President McClymond reminded alumni that engagement is crucial as Oglethorpe transforms and builds upon the narrative behind a liberal arts education. She asked attendees to spread the word about our beloved university and continue to show up when and where they can.
