The HSB delivers impactful, world-class curricula to exceptional students. Support for robust and tailored career services, funding for impactful student organization initiatives, and scholarship funds to make exceptional business education accessible for the bright and talented students we seek to enroll will create greater pathways for success.
- Endowed Scholarships, established with a gift of $25,000 or more. An endowed scholarship provides funds for students in perpetuity, creating a lasting impact. Scholarship funds are vital for our students. They can help students avoid gaps in their studies and enable them to remain enrolled and complete their degrees, setting them up for even greater success after graduation.
Our faculty empower students through experiential learning, rigorous and relevant coursework, and direct one-on-one mentorship. We remain committed to bringing in exceptional teachers who believe in our mission.
- Endowed Professorships, established with a gift of $1 million or more. Endowed professorships provide critical funding to recruit and retain top faculty for Oglethorpe. Professorships can be established in any area of the HSB, including accounting, management, finance, and free enterprise. When we attract and hire a high-caliber faculty, we enhance every aspect of our students’ experience.
Our academic programs are exceptional and evolving. The MBA program is enrolling new students and offers an interdisciplinary concentration, making the program competitive and relevant for today’s business leaders. Further enhancements, including the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, linking students with Atlanta-based entrepreneurs, and an Executive in Residence program, will pair innovation and academic rigor to produce exceptional outcomes for students.
- Endowed Executive in Residence, established through an endowment gift of $1.25 million. Funding for an Executive in Residence program – an initiative to bring individuals with considerable business experience to the HSB – will enhance career opportunities for business students. Business schools need unique internship and career placement services, and an Executive in Residence can help to open doors for professional opportunities for our students, successfully launching their careers.
- Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (CEI), funding opportunities ranging from $5,000- $20,000 support programming initiatives. Today’s students are more apt to pursue their own ventures or tackle professional roles in entrepreneurial ways than ever before. Our students are already inclined to be critical thinkers through our liberal arts curriculum, and with this programmatic support, we can serve as an incubator to sharpen their entrepreneurial instincts and help them forge their own paths.
Opportunities exist for greater community, professional and programmatic engagement in a business-focused space. Dedicated spaces that are ADA-accessible and tailored for teaching, visionary programming, and hosting partner companies or recruiters will further enhance the educational experience for undergraduate and graduate students.
“Aligned with the University strategic plan, the Hammack School of Business sits at the very heart of the Oglethorpe University mission. Poised at the crossroads of management education and the liberal arts, the Hammack School prepares students to be mindful and ethical business persons who are qualified to lead in an ever-transforming professional landscape.”
